Famine Relief
Somali Refugees in the the village of Dhobley, Somalia
The Drought in East Africa is affected over 12,000,000 people but nowhere is the effects more visible than in the refugee camps of Dadaab near the Kenya/Somalia border where now close to half a million Somali Refugees have come for help. In the past two weeks, Erica and I have been travelling to Dadaab with our friend Amanda Lindhout to help her Global Enrichment Foundation and several other small NGOs to get food across the border and into Somalia.
You can read more about the first convoy and our experiences in our new blog at www.fivekennys.blogspot.com . Please continue to pray for the people of Somalia, Ethiopia, and Kenya who are suffering from the famine. Pray especially for small children under the age of 5 who are the most vulnerable. We are hearing that in excess of 29,000 children have died from this famine in the past three months.
We appreciate all of the prayers and letters of encouragement!
