Africam -- Come vist the watering hole

We do not usually advertise, but we discovered a very cool website that has been a great source of fun for our family -- africam.com

We recommend the "Nkorho stream", where they have set up a live video & audio feed over looking a South African watering hole in a private game reserve. Their time is six hours ahead of ours in Atlantic Canada so if you check it out in the evening it will be in black and white night vision, but at around 10:30 pm (Atlantic Time) the sun is rising in South africa and a game officer arrives to remove the night vision filter. Often he or she (we never see the face) will pan around and zoom in on the watering hole visitors.

Tristan and Emma had a real treat this morning watching a family of Giraffe at breakfast. Erica and I enjoy listening to the sounds of the birds at night. Let us know if you spot any wild visitors at the watering hole yourself.
