AMANI means PEACE
Last Friday, we joined Emma's kindergarten class on a field trip to Amani Ya Juu (our favorite secret garden), a sewing ministry with refugee women. Together we sang with the women and the children divided up into small groups where the ladies taught them how to sew, tie-dye, and weave the Amani symbol.
One of the Amani women stamps wax symbols on fabric before it is dyed.

This is very interesting. Does the Sharing Way have any involvement or is it under a different agency? Are these refugee women Somali?

Hi
What great pictures. I love getting the pictures. But I am sure Grandma loves it a lot more.
Praying for you

The Sharing Way works with many groups like this but not this particular group. There are women from Somalia , Sudan, Congo, Ethiopia, and other East African countries. We have spent a lot of time here and are enjoying getting to know the women.
What an amazing time!
The pictures of the cheetah are beautiful!
Take Care.
Leslie
Looking forward to seeing more pictures.
