CBM Kenya Team

Canadian Baptist Ministries "Team Kenya" -- A., Patty Card, Laura Ward, Paul Carline, Malcolm Card, Tim Bannister, Kelly Carline, Diane Bannister, Erica Kenny, Aaron Kenny, Sam Mutisiya, R.

Today in Kenya (and in much of the world) was Eid-al-Fitr, the celebration of the end of the Muslim Holy month of Ramadan. Schools, public offices and businesses were closed throughout Kenya. We were able to enjoy a gathering of our Canadian Baptist Ministries Kenyan team. It was a great chance to catch up on what the Lord is doing in various parts of Kenya through our national partner and in the lives of our colleagues.

Emma was also swimming in an extension of the weekend swim meet. She came in third in her freestyle event: We are so proud of her! Her times qualified her to be promoted to the AA level. She will be competing again this coming Sunday afternoon.

We also want to thank everyone who has been praying for Tristan, he is recovering well from Tonsillitis and a broken baby toe. His spirits are high!

This week is also the 50th Anniversary of the Eastleigh Community Centre. Tomorrow is the Women's Day, and our Somali women's group Iftin will be participating in a street procession and a presentation. We hope to have some photos to share with you from the special day.

What a great photograph, and so much encouraging news. Praise the Lord for the work He is doing through the CBM ministry in Kenya.
