Playground
While we were in Garissa we had an opportunity to visit the ACC&S School were this playground was built last summer by a STM team from BC. We were overjoyed to see a group of children having such a great time during their recess.

While it makes me happy to see the little boys having a good time, it makes me sad to see the little girls on the periphery looking on longingly and obviously wishing they could play on the swings as well. Do they ever get the opportunity?
Thanks for your comment. We are sorry if we gave skewed view of the Garissa playground. In the short video the boys were the first to get out of class, racing for the swings and the girls bee-lined to Erica. They all wanted their picture taken. During our time there we watched both the girls and boys play. The girls seemed to prefer the teeter-totter!
Thanks for the information. I'm happy to hear the girls also are able to have fun with the playground equipment. I obviously drew the wrong conclusions from the video. I enjoy your blog very much and am following your adventures with much interest.
