God's Gifts

Jacaranda trees (view from our apartment window)
"The more healing I experience, the more I understand one of the most magnificient truths of the Christian faith: God can turn our worst pain into the source of our giftedness. It is no accident that my life's work involves helping people invite Jesus into the worst moments of their lives."

We are still praying for you and trust God to keep you safe. I actually had a short email from Aaron's mom today.
We will be in PE this weekend for Annette Wells ordination.

It's been one year since our arrival in Kenya and our first view of the jacaranda in blossom...another of the wonders in God's amazing creation!! I'm assuming this may be your first time to see them blooming and you have your very own backyard view...wow!
Praying for your health and safety and for encouragement in your studies and work. God bless you all.
Love & Prayers, Greta

Hi,

This is Carin Guthrie from the STEP team from Duncan that visited in July. I was wondering how you celebrated Thanksgiving this year?

God Bless,
Carin.

Hello Carin,

It is great to hear from you! We had a great celebration on the Saturday following Thanksgiving so that we could share it with Malcom and Patty Card, our team leaders here in Africa. All of the Kenya CBMers and the Sousy's (Rwanda) gathered together for turkey, pumpkin pie and even Nova Scotian cranberrys brought in just for the celebration.

It was a great afternoon. One highlight was Jadon Crain (Alden & Tracy Crain's son who has just returned to Kenya for University) and Andy Desroches taking out their guitars and strumming away in the afternoon sun.

We have much to be thankful for!

Blessings.
