Wardrobe Changes

This week our Somali friend and language helper, Zahra,
had a fun time hanging out with Emma. She even
let Emma dress in her scarves and black head covering.
Somali women are expected to cover their heads in public.
Many Somali women will even cover their faces; they will
recognize one another only by their eyes.
Our ESL work is going very well in Eastleigh; The classes are filling to capacity and the students are making good progress. We are also enjoying more time with some of the students out of the class room. We are praying that the Lord will help us identify ways to strengthen community development in this place, but we know that this will take time.
We enjoyed a great evening with Ron Ward yesterday. We will be keeping a eye on some of the Garissa projects for he and Joan, while they are back in Canada over the next six months.

Emma you look beautiful! Miss you guys like crazy and pray for you every day! Lauren was soooo excited to receive Emma's card the other day. She has been telling all her school friends about you and has even shown her class your blog. You have no idea how many people are behind you! Hugs and squeezes to all. ...And Erica, Shana says "hi" ;-)

Hello Kelly!

We miss you guys too. Erica and I just got back from a busy day of house hunting. We are praying for a secure place near Tristan and Emma's school, but the pickings seem slim. We are trusting that the Lord will provide.

We will pass along a hello to Emma from Lauren. Emma misses playing with her best buddy. Tonight, Tristan is having his friend Spencer for a sleep over, so Erica and I will be keeping Emma company while the they share a boys only night!

Say hello to everybody for us!
Love,
Aaron & Erica
